My significant other is on the Shadow Rider's forum and the forum is actually more ative than ours. We were actully planning to get together with some of them for a foliage run but my SO ended up in the hospital with a kidney infection and just got out this Friday. He still can't ride his bike for awhile. Can't jostle the kidneys doc said. Won't find out for awhile if he's got kidney damage. Was pretty scary. My only salvation was checking the forum everyday before going to the hospital to see what was going on. One of his nurses heard us talking about my bike and asked what I rode. Found out her husband had just won the HD from a fundraiser one of the bike clubs was having this summer. Of course, that was the bike my SO was suppose to win. She said he almost had a heart attack, really, when they notified him. He already had an older HD but had to get someone to ride the new one home for him. He was too shaky! It still cost him $5400 in takes and fees to take the bike home! When you "win" something, it shouldn't cost you anything. He was the first person who actually was able to bring the bike home from all past fundraisers. All other people got cash, but of course not as much. Still worth it for a $12,000 bike but still alot of money.
